Ed Pringle Scholarship Information

DEADLINE AUG. 1, 2008

THPA offers the Ed Pringle Scholarship Program which awards $500 to defray some of the costs of attending college. Scholarship applicants are the sons and daughters of Texas Highway Patrol Troopers. Each applicant meeting all requirements will receive $250 per semester and the best essay submission receives an additional $300.

General Guidelines

Must be graduating from high school or have
received the scholarship the previous year.
Must renew each year - meeting all requirements to
continue receiving the scholarship
Scholarship is available for 4 years only.
Scholarship is for an undergraduate degree only.
Available to children of Texas DPS troopers only.
(Active or Retired)

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

Complete application (via online form, regular mail, email, or fax)
Name, phone, and location of college enrolled at or accepted by
Name of parent / trooper with duty station, rank, and work phone number
Completed essay meeting current year's requirements
Color photograph
Transcript or proof of enrollment
Submission Deadline: AUGUST 1, 2008
